Together with Prosper Africa, the Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft, and Swisscham-Africa, we are organising the Innovation Mission Dakar 2022.
Dakar as a regional Innovation Hub
The off-grid provider Oolu (EnergyTech), Wari (a major FinTech player), Afrikamart (a leader in agri-food technology) and other companies have made Dakar the leading innovation hub in French-speaking Africa.
Who participates?
Export companies, start-ups, investors and entrepreneurs. We have no specific sector focus, we will meet actors in energy & environmental technologies, agriculture and agro-business, consumer goods, financial sector, construction, infrastructure & transport, industry & logistics, health.
What do you take away?
Program
DAY 1 – DIGITAL AFRICA:
Official opening ceremony with high-ranking representatives of Senegal. We visit co-working spaces and get an overview of the digital transformation in Senegal and Africa. Field visits to startups. An evening networking event with the Senegalese innovation community completes the day.
DAY 2 – URBAN AFRICA:
Africa’s urban hotspots and their innovative and disruptive technologies. The dynamics of the city of Dakar with its need for urban and smart technologies (infrastructure development, transport solutions, water treatment, sustainable energy, etc.). Field trips to dynamic start-ups. Round table with capital networks, get-together.
DAY 3 – INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS MEETINGS:
Meetings according to participants’ wishes: potential customers or partners from business, government agencies, ministries and organisations/associations/NGOs.

When and what does it cost?
Tuesday, March 29, to Thursday, March 31, 2022
Individual arrival on Monday before. Group programme in Dakar from Tuesday at 9.00 am until Thursday at 5 pm.
Costs: 1.800 Euro plus VAT
The price includes all lunches and dinners, programme, company and field visits, one Dakar tour. Flight and hotel costs are not included.
